Our 12 winners qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Sarah Madeleine in Athletics (1500m)

Sarah is a mechanical engineering student at INSA Lyon. Aged 24, she is in the high-level sports section to pursue her career as a 1500m specialist athlete.

French U23 1500m champion in 2020 and vice-champion of France Elite 2023, she took part in the 2024 European Championships and qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. 

Arnaud Gauthier-Rat in Beach Volley

Arnaud started beach volleyball in 2014 when he joined INSA, and gradually moved up to the senior category with first European podiums between 2016 and 2018, before joining the world top 20 in 2019. 

He earned his ticket to the Paris Olympics, teaming up with Youssouf Krou to form the best French team.

Marie Wattel in Swimming (Freestyle and Butterfly)

Marie Wattel, born June 2, 1997 in Lille, is a French freestyle and butterfly swimmer. She made a name for herself on the international scene, winning several medals at the 2018 and 2021 European Championships and the 2022 World Championships.

She qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle.

Antoine Viquerat in Swimming (Breaststroke)

A Master's student in Mechanical Engineering at INSA and French record-holder in the 200m breaststroke, Antoine swam with Racing Club de France until he was 18, when he switched to the TOEC Dolphins thanks to INSA Toulouse.

This year, he'll be taking part in the Paris Olympics, where he'll be going for a medal in the 4x100m 4-swimming relay.

Mélanie Hénique in Swimming (Freestyle)

Crowned double European Champion in 2019, the 31-year-old swimmer holds no fewer than three French records for women: 50 m butterfly in the open pool, 50 m freestyle in the shallow pool and 50 m freestyle in the open pool.

After two Olympic appearances at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, Mélanie secured her selection for Paris 2024, her third Games.

Tom Campagne in Long Jump

Tom has been practicing athletics since secondary school, when he discovered the discipline by taking part in UNSS competitions with his friends at the time.

Specializing in the long jump, he has won the French indoor championship titles in U18, U23, once in university, as well as an Elites title. He has qualified to take part in the 2024 Paris Olympics and is naturally aiming for the final.  

Lucie Tessariol in Swimming (Freestyle)

A member of the small SA Mérignac swimming club near Bordeaux since the age of 11, Lucile has been training with Philippe Lucas at TEAM LUCAS in Martigues since September 2022, while continuing her studies at INSA Toulouse to become an aeronautical engineer.

After being a finalist at the age of 17 at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics in the 4x200NL relay, Lucie continues her high-level sporting career by qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics in the relay.

Clément Secchi in Swimming (Butterfly)

Clément Secchi is a young swimmer from CN Marseille. After two silver medals at the French Championships in 2020 and 2021 in the 200 m butterfly, he is crowned French champion in 2022 in the 100 m butterfly and in 2023 in the 200 m butterfly.

A member of the French team, he qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games alongside Maxime Grousset in the 100m butterfly.

Anastasiia Kirpichnikova in Swimming (Freestyle)

Anastasiia has won several medals at the European Short Course Championships and competed at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Renowned for her versatility and endurance performances, Kirpichnikova is a rising star on the international swimming scene.

She qualified for the 2024 Olympics by winning the French Championships in Chartres in the 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle.

Agathe Guillemot in Athletics (1500m)

A 5th-year student in civil and urban engineering, Agathe specialized in middle-distance running when she arrived at INSA Rennes in 2017. Having adapted her curriculum to her sporting goals in this Olympic year, she trains at the Haute Bretagne Athlétisme Training Center.

Champion of France 2023 in the 1500m, Agathe took part in the Senior World Championships in the same discipline. She managed to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Assia Touati in Swimming (Freestyle)

Assia started swimming at the age of 8 and never left the competition pool. She won two gold medals in the relay at the 2011 European Junior Swimming Championships in Belgrade. At 19, Assia leaves to train with the TOEC Dolphins in Toulouse.

She became European champion at the 2018 European Swimming Championships in Glasgow, competing in the 4 × 200 m freestyle final with the French team. This summer will be her second Games in Paris. 


Guillaume Guth in Swimming (Freestyle)

A nutrition student, Guillaume is a TOEC dolphin-trained swimmer. To qualify for his first Olympic Games, Guillaume Guth twice beat his personal best in the 100 m at the Chartres selection trials, bringing it up to 48'62 in the final. 

This time enabled him to finish third and secure his place in the 4 x 100 m for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
